We want to make you happy with our service and our equipment – you will not be disappointed

Applicability

This policy, in addition to the separately provided “Equipment Lease Agreement,” is applicable to all rentals or leases of equipment from Wheels For Feet, its affiliates or subsidiaries (“company”). This rental policy is the default and supersedes “Equipment Lease Agreement”, unless otherwise stated. Any entity that rents or leases equipment from the company is hereafter referred to as the customer(s).

Liability Release

The customer releases the company of any liability, subject to the “Liability Release Agreement” separately supplied to and agreed to by the customer.

Rental Period

The “Rental Period” is the period of time between the “Start of the Rental” and the “End of the Rental,” as defined here. The “Start of the Rental” is the date and time of the beginning of the rental as determined at reservation. This is regardless of whether actual delivery to the customer or pick up by the customer of the equipment is made. If the delivery is made at a different time or if a specific time is not established, the Start of the Rental will be the time of actual delivery. The “End of the Rental” is the date and time at which the equipment is to be returned, per the reservation. This is regardless of whether the equipment is returned early. In the case of an extension by mutual agreement, the “End of the Rental” will be extended accordingly, regardless of when the equipment is actually returned. If the rental is unilaterally extended by the customer, the End of the Rental will be the actual date and time of the return.

Reservations and Rental Charges

Reservations may be made over the phone, in person, through the company’s or third party websites, via travel agencies or any other legitimate means, with the mutual consent of the customer and the company. Any reservation made without this consent will be considered null and void, and any responsible party may be prosecuted by the company, at its discretion. A reservation made by the customer directly with the company will be enforceable under all circumstances. The reservation will include any information required by the company, and will define the Start of the Rental and the End of the Rental. Charges for any particular rental will be determined by the company at the time of reservation. This charge will not be subject to or determined by any fees charged for a previous or later rental, charged by any other entity or charged for other circumstances. The rental charge quoted at the time of the reservation may not be altered during the Rental Period, except for certain situations as determined by the company, and the customer will be notified in advance of any such change. Additional fees may be applicable for rental extensions. The rental fees may be paid with credit/debit cards, cash or any other valid forms of payment.

No Show or Cancellations

Customers may cancel a reservation at any time by informing the company. For any cancellations made after the Cancellation due date, All Rental and Delivery fees paid for the reservation shall be Non-Refundable, and shall be retained by the company. The Cancellation due date is 72 hours prior to the start date of reservations or the delivery date if it is before the start of the rental. This is for reservations with rental periods of 2hrs to 6 days. The Cancellation due date is 7 days prior to the start date of the rental period for reservations with longer rental periods. No Shows shall be considered cancellation with 24 hours, and additional penalties and fees may apply.

Credit Holds and Security Deposits

A security deposit or credit/debit hold (collectively, “deposit”) is required for all rentals unless specifically waived. The security deposit is commensurate with the partial replacement cost of the equipment, as determined by the company. The company shall strive to refund the deposit within 24 hours of the return of the equipment.

A valid credit or debit card information must be provided by the customer before the Start of the Rental. This deposit will be charged at a reasonable time prior to the Start of the Rental, as determined by the company. Delivery of the equipment shall not be made without a deposit. The deposit will be refunded after the end of the Rental Period, subject to a satisfactory inspection of the returned equipment. There may be delay of longer than 24 hours if the equipment is returned damaged or in overly dirty conditions. The customer will be notified of any such delays. The deposit will be released by the company at the applicable time. There may be a delay in the time this refund is actually reflected on the customer’s account because of the customers issuing banks or other intermediate financial entities which are outside the control of the company, as such the company cannot be held responsible for any such delays.

Safety and Security

The customer must maintain the safety and security of the leased equipment during the Rental Period. This includes keys, any protective and/or tracking devices, or other removable or non-removable starting/protective mechanisms. For the loss of or damage to any of these items, there may be additional fees. These items may be replaced or repaired by the company at its discretion. If the entire equipment, or part thereof, is lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair during the Rental Period, the customer will be fully liable for the replacement cost of the equipment, as determined by the company.

Cleanliness and Hygiene

The company will provide clean and disinfected equipment to the customer at the Start of the Rental. Additional reasonable requests made by the customer may be accommodated. If a customer determines the equipment to be unsatisfactory at the Start of the Rental, the customer must notify the company immediately. The company may clean, repair or replace the equipment, and/or issue a refund at its discretion. If the customer informs the company of any cleanliness problems much later than the Start of the Rental, at the End of the Rental or afterwards, the company may refund a portion of the rental fees at its discretion. Additional fees may apply under some circumstances. If the equipment is returned in a state beyond normal wear and tear, as determined by the company, cleaning fees may apply, as solely determined by the company.

Working and Good Quality

The company will provide fully functional equipment to the customer at the Start of the Rental. If a customer determines the equipment to be unsatisfactory at the Start of the Rental, the customer must notify the company immediately. The company may repair or replace the equipment, and/or issue a refund at its discretion. If a functionality problem arises with the equipment during the Rental Period, the customer must immediately notify the company. The company may repair or replace the equipment, and/or issue a refund at its discretion. If the equipment malfunctions by no fault of the customer, the customer must notify the company immediately. The equipment may be repaired or replaced, and/or a partial refund may be issued. If the customer informs the company of a functionality problem at a time much later than that at which it arises, at the End of the Rental or afterwards, the company may choose to issue a refund at its discretion. Additional fees may apply under certain circumstances. If the equipment is returned in a state beyond normal wear and tear, as determined by the company, repair fees may apply, as solely determined by the company.

Battery Charge and Re-charge

The battery for any powered equipment will be fully charged when it is delivered to the customer. If the customer finds this not to be the case at the Start of the Rental, the customer must notify the company immediately. The battery may be charged, repaired or replaced by the company, at its discretion. The company is not responsible during the Rental Period for any battery issues caused by the customer. If the customer notifies the company at the time of any such problem, the battery may be charged, repaired or replaced, and additional fees may apply.  If the battery malfunctions by no fault of the customer, the customer must notify the company immediately. The battery may be charged, repaired or replaced, and a refund may be issued at the company’s discretion. The customer must fully re-charge the battery prior to the End of the Rental. If the battery is not fully charged at return, additional fees may apply. Hourly or single day rental customers are not required to re-charge the battery at the End of the Rental.

Lost Key

There is a charge of $25 or more for lost or damaged keys.
